Critical Hits: We are using the Gamemastery Critical Hit deck. The basic way I am using it is to say that any time 1x damage is pulled, you roll damage as normal, 2x damage means you do max, 3x damage means your attack was a high crit. All ability damage will instead be penalties as shown here (in addition to -2 to related skill checks):
Str: -2 Fort
Con: -2 Fort
Dex: -2 AC, -2 Ref
Int: -2 AC, -2 Ref
Wis: -2 Will
Cha: -2 Will

Also, things that would require a saving throw instead have the attacker re-roll their attack against the new defense.

Critical Fumble Related to the critical hit deck is the critical fumble deck. Whenever you roll a natural 1 in addition to missing you have an option. Either you can have your weapon break, or you can draw from the fumble deck. It will follow similar rules to the critical hit deck.
